Ludwick Kuszewski (1886-1960)
Born in Poland on May 19, 1886. Kuszewski was a resident of Los Angeles by 1935. Under the auspices of the Federal Art Project, he and Helen Lundeberg painted three murals in the Bell (CA) City Hall.
His rare works include large, stylized landscapes of the desert near Palm Springs. He died in Los Angeles on May 10, 1960.
It is unkown how many of Kuzewski's paintings are extant. It is possible that Kuszewski had a career(s) in other areas and produced art for a brief period as a WPA artist. More research needs to be done on this artist.
